KIRK SESSION: There will be a brief meeting of Kirk Session after the morning service in the Burney Room. 

Organisation Notices

The WALKING CLUB will meet on Wednesday 2nd October at 9:30am in the Burney Room. We will walk in Ballyclare Park followed by tea/coffee in Colemans at Templepatrick. Everyone welcome.

PARENT AND TODDLERS  need more volunteers to help clean away toys, mats, small tables etc on a Thursday morning from 11:30am-12noon. Please speak to Rita or Sandra if you would be available to help. Many thanks.

Thursday Together: ‘Getting to know you.’  Four members  Anona, Betty, Doris and Mabel  will be telling us all about their lives etc.  Our meeting starts at 2:30pm in the Burney Room.

Vacancy Update

The vacancy here in Glengormley now moves into its second phase following the decision of the Presbyterian  Church body responsible for such things to grant us permission to call a minister in succession to the Rev David Brice. A meeting of the Linkage Commission with representatives from  Glengormley last Tuesday resulted in such an outcome.  Kirk Session and Congregational Committee are to be thanked for their hard work in preparation for the meeting  and those who represented the congregation at the meeting are to be congratulated on their presentation on the day.

What next?  Soon Kirk Session will inform the congregation of what next steps are to be taken and the vital role which the  congregation plays in that.  We will need the help and support of every member – especially our communicant membership over the next few months as the process to fill the pulpit moves forward. Most of all we need everyone to pray that God will lead us to  the one of his choosing is in this important time in the life and  witness of Glengormley Presbyterian Church.
